The Mission of Camp Ondessonk is to provide an environment that inspires physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth for individuals and groups through the appreciation and stewardship of nature.
The Vision of Camp Ondessonk, a camp founded on the Catholic Faith, is to be the world’s best youth camp. Inspired by positive role models, campers will experience the wonders of God’s creation through adventurous, challenging activities in a unique, rustic environment.

Riflery and archery are real camp skills. Campers learn the proper handling and shooting of .22 caliber rifles at the range under National Rifle Association guidelines. Standard recurve bows are used on the archery range, under the guidelines of the National Archery Association. A competent certified archer teaches safe and proper use and respect for this ancient art. Due to the length of the session, riflery is not offered during mini camp. An introductory BB gun class will be offered for mini campers to acquaint them with the safe and proper handling of an air gun.
