Our Mission

The Mission of Camp Ondessonk is to provide an environment that inspires physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth for individuals and groups through the appreciation and stewardship of nature.

Our Vision

The Vision of Camp Ondessonk, a camp founded on the Catholic Faith, is to be the world’s best youth camp. Inspired by positive role models, campers will experience the wonders of God’s creation through adventurous, challenging activities in a unique, rustic environment.

Stewardship
Since the beginning, generations of Camp Friends have donated their TIME, TALENT and TREASURE, allowing us to offer the superior programs and facilities that open the doors to a lifetime of opportunity. Your stewardship gifts can help us achieve our vision of becoming the world’s best youth camp!
 
By making a gift to Camp Ondessonk, you help kids:
  • Build confidence and self-esteem…it’s not just scoring a bulls-eye at the archery range or reaching the top of the cliff on our ropes course, it’s overcoming fears, building skills and achieving what you set out to do.
  • Build friendships and memories … it’s not just learning funny campfire songs from alumni volunteers or high-fiving your team at Tuesday Night Game, it’s treasuring the traditions of Camp O with your life-long friends.
  • Build faith and stewardship … it’s not just a hike in the woods or completing a Black Cross service project, it’s seeing that nature is an incredible gift from God, and that we need to be good stewards of our earth.
Camp Ondessonk is a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation, and is solely funded by camper fees and the generous donations from our friends. Your contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
 
Donations to Camp Ondessonk are classified by the following levels:
 
ST. ISAAC JOGUES ($5,000 and above)
KATERI TEKAKWITHA ($2,500 – $4,999)
CAMPFIRE ($1,000 - $2,499)
FLAME ($500 – $999)
SPARK ($250 -- $499)
TINDER ($125 -- $249)
PATRON (under $125)
 
 
 
There are three ways to make a cash gift:

2. By Phone:

Credit card gifts may be made via a phone call to Camp Ondessonk at 618-695-2489 When making a gift by phone, please be prepared with:

  • the name on the credit card and whether it is a personal or corporate card
  • the card's account number
  • the billing address for the credit card
  • the card's expiration date
  • the amount of the gift
  • the gift's designation (where you want the gift to be used)
